6 months old

Our B is 6 months old today! WOW! It is crazy how time flies!! Here is a list of B's accomplishments so far.

1. He sleeps through the night. (This one is probably my favorite.)
2. He can roll from front to back and from back to front.
3. He smiles, laughs and "talks" to us.
4. He can sit by himself for short periods to time.
5. He "screams" with joy when playing with his toys or watching G.
6. He plays with toys and can transfer a toy from one hand to the other.
7. He can spin 360 degrees on his tummy.
8. He has tried rice cereal, oatmeal, bananas, pears, applesauce, peaches, sweet potatoes, peas and carrots. Sweet potatoes are his favorite. He hates peas.
9. He reaches for everything, and if he gets it, it goes straight to his mouth!

He is such a good baby - very content and happy most of the time. WE LOVE OUR B!

He really was trying hard to stay awake while he was eating tonight. :O)

He had his 6-month check up on Friday. He weighed 18 lbs 14 ounces (75th %). The Dr. said he was a "big boy". He was 27 inches long (70th %). His head was 18 inches around (95th %).

As for his blood work, he had his followup tests done and his iron levels were fine but his hemoglobin and hematocrit (red blood cell counts) were a little low. They were fine as far as his bone marrow goes which is really good. The Dr. said it could be just his age and he is not too worried right now but he wants to do some more tests in another month and we will see what his levels are then and go from there. He was such a trooper when he had his blood drawn the second time. He just sat there. The nurse had to dig around to find his vein and he didn't even cry. He just whimpered a little and looked around smiling.
