Fall Festival

Last Saturday was our ward's Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat. (I know I am super slow getting it posted but better late than never right?) I think B couldn't have cared less that we were there. He just hung out in his stroller until he was ready to eat. G had a good time at all the little carnival games they had.

Our Tinkerbell and Peter Pan. (As you can tell B is a pro at sitting by himself now. He can also army crawl with the best of them. He is definitely making our life more interesting!)

The pumpkin that G painted. She picked out the pink and purple paint and the purple glitter and painted most of it. She was really proud of it. Every time she sees it on the bar now she says, "My punkin!"

Checking out her stash. We skipped G's nap so that she would go straight to bed when we got home. She was so tried she was practically sleep walking during the truck or treat. She was not about to let go of her bucket though. She held it the whole way home even though she kept telling us how tired she was.

A before-bed snack :) She even had to have her bucket when she went to bed. Luckily T was able to convince her to set it under her window while she was sleeping. She knows now that she can pick a candy after lunch and after dinner and the pumpkin stays on top of the fridge to prevent any sneaking in between.
She has to open them all by herself now. :)

Cupcakes

When I asked G if she wanted to make cupcakes the other day she said, "Yeah! For Bamma?" I am not really sure why she associates cupcakes with Bamma but she was sure excited to make them. She kept singing Happy Birthday to Bamma while we were making them. She was pretty funny.

She wanted to use the Abby tins left over from her birthday and she was so proud of herself when she got them all in the pan.

Halloween Party

We went to a Halloween Party Saturday night. It was so much fun! G had a blast. There was a costume fashion show with a cat walk and music, a fortune teller, a (for lack of better word) jumping thing and of course tons of good food. We have lots more Halloween activities this week and next so the kids will have lots more times wearing their costumes. Stay tuned for more pictures, our Halloween fun is just beginning :)

Peter Pan, Tinkerbell and a 'scary' skeleton. Cousin B was so cute. He would hold his arms out and "growl". It was really funny! His costume also had a mask but I don't think I ever got a picture of it.

G's favorite part of the night was the "jumping thing". She had a blast!

These mummy cookies were my contribution to the party Sat. night. I was pretty happy with how they turned out. I think G and I will try and fine tune them this week sometime.

The Yam Fest!

Last Thursday we drove up to Gilmer for the Yamboree! We had such a good time. G is finally old enough to ride some rides and enjoy the parades.

THURSDAY

I think B was just happy to be out of the car! It was a little cool but the fresh air (if there is fresh air at a carnival) was nice!

G had her first corn dog. Carnival food is the greatest! She was a little unsure at first but as you can see she enjoyed it :) She was a little distracted by all the lights and noise to eat much more than that so we decided to go ahead and let her ride some rides.

Cousin B joined us for the rides. This boat ride was a favorite on Thursday.

The flinstone cars were also a big hit.

FRIDAY

1. Parade

2. Lunch at La Finca -YUMMY!!

3. A visit to the fair grounds to see the animals.

4. Home for a nap - a very much needed nap.

5. More rides.

B had a good time being outside. I was impressed with how little he seemed to be bothered by all the sirens. They were really loud!

I am not sure which school's float this was but it was pretty and G liked the butterflies.

G was doing so good not to touch the bunnies. She wanted to really bad!

SATURDAY

Cousin B had so much fun with B this weekend. He was so gentle with him and was always concerned when he wasn't in his bed. He would walk around saying "Baby, Baby".

Another Day at the Park

Saturday morning T played flag football with the Elders Quorum at an elementary school. I decided to take the kids to the playground while he was playing. G had SO much fun on the swings. If you know about our past experiences, you know this is a big deal for her. There lots of swings and she had to go to each swing set and try them all out! At one point T came over to say hi and when he was leaving G said, "Bye Dad. See ya waiter (later)." It was cute. She really is growing up on us :) The other night we were eating dinner and T was holding B. G wanted to sit in his lap also and he told her no that he could only hold 1 kid at a time. She said, "No Dad, 2 kids." She is learning her numbers!!
