G's 11/07

This month was definitely a challenge for me. When I went back and looked for pictures there were these 4 plus one more of G hugging her friend where all you could see was G's back. That was it! A whole month and I only had 5 pictures to choose from. I am pretty happy with how they turned out but I really like having more than 4 pictures to work with :)

The while piece covers up her name. If you are interested in the journaling of any of the pages, I am pretty sure you can just click the picture and it will be big enough to read.

G's 10/07 pages

It has been WAY too long since I have scrapbooked! I was able to find some time this weekend and hope to get caught up by the end of the summer. I have a long way to go but I am not too overwhelmed yet :) I have 3 double page layouts for her for 10/07. October is always a busy month for us so we always have lots of pictures. And really, which ones would you choose to leave out? :) The top picture of each layout is the left side.

In the bottom corner G's name is covered up just for blogging purposes.

Again, I covered her name up for the blog in the top right corner.

Once again, her name is covered up for the blog in the top right corner.

I did a lot more journaling than I thought I was going to be able to since the pictures are 2.5 years old. It is so fun to go back and look at how little G was. It always amazes me how much she has grown and changed when I look at old pictures.

sleep, my little ones, sleep

Warning: If you do not have children and want them in the future, you may want to skip this post as it may change your mind entirely.

If you do have children, then you have probably had one of these days or possibly worse (though at this moment I can't really think of much worse), and you can understand my day that was yesterday.

4.21.10

8:00 am - B has a poppy diaper. Somehow in the process of changing it poop was transferred to his bedspread. Now I must wash is bedding - not on the *list* today.

8:30 - Breakfast. Fits are thrown because we are out of milk. and eggs. Finally I convince them that toast and juice will do.

11:20 - I am nursing E and B comes in with a crayon. G is sent to investigate. She reports back that B has drawn on the wall. This is not his first offense with a crayon in the hall *refer to this post* I know I said he would never get to use crayons again and I have been very mindful about where and when he gets to use crayons. But somehow he found one (I have no idea where), a bright green one this time. After I finish nursing E, I go to check it out myself. Yes, he did draw on the wall - in 4 different places! B goes to timeout for a very long time. He is not happy. I am not happy.

12:00 pm - I am working and I hear a small crash. G then yells "Mom, B has your medicine!" I run to my bathroom. He had dumped a fair amount of my vitamins out on the floor, and he is chewing one! About the time I noticed he had one in his mouth he started to taste it so it wasn't that hard to get out of his mouth. Taking into account how big these vitamins are, the look on his face when he tasted it and how much I got out of his mouth, I came to the conclusion he only had one in his mouth. Thank goodness because right on the label it says that iron overdose is one of the leading causes of fatality in children - after reading that I certainly can't be mad anymore...

At this point, T has decided that if I call again he probably doesn't want to answer :)

12:30 - Lunch. Due to the shortage of milk at breakfast, we didn't have any bread for lunch. This is the point where I realize that my kids really do eat the same thing. everyday. More fit throwing because they had to eat (brace yourself) pasta - I am a terrible mom, I know.

1:00 - Lunch is over. Big kids are going up the stairs. I am getting E. About the time I get to the bottom of the stairs G says, "Mom, B taked off his diaper." I get up there and he is running down the hallway. no diaper. It was poopy. Bath time for B! And if you give one a bath you have to give the other one a bath and if you have bathed 2 kids why not go ahead and bathe the third. It takes a long time to bathe 3 kids.

**I would just like to point out that E is an angle baby**

3:00 - I know that when T gets home we are leaving to run some errands (remember how we are out of milk, eggs and bread?) so I decide to go ahead and get in the shower myself. I am a little nervous about what might happen while I am in the shower but luckily Wonder Pets keeps them entertained long enough for me to shower, and the only bad thing that happened was my brand new lufa (sp?) sponge fell completely apart. I will take it.

3:40 - Reinforcements arrive in the form of T. We get every one's hair combed and shoes and socks on and diapers changed and off we go. T is buckling B in his carseat and just about the time T clips the chest strap B leans his head down and the clips catches his lip. *Tears* (It even left a mark; I noticed it this morning.)

4:00 - All 3 kids fall asleep in the car. 40 minutes of quiet = Heaven.

5:30 - We decide to take the kids to McDonalds because we are still not finished with our errands. We get there and there is a sign on the door that says Cash Only. We are not cash only kind of people so we have to go find another McDonalds (not that that is really hard, especially here) and G thinks we don't get to go. *Tears*

6:15 - We are in Kroger. The kids, of course, do not want to ride in the cart. B picks up a carton of eggs - 4 fall out, 2 of which splat all over the floor. ..
Ok now we are done shopping and at the check out when I noticed a grabbed the wrong bag of frozen peas. I send T and G back to get the right ones. G comes running towards me with the correct bag and all of a sudden the bag comes open (completely not her fault) and peas go everywhere!

7:00 - We are finally home. I am putting groceries away. B finds scissors and a page of coupons from Babies R Us. Not good. At least he managed to miss the one for the free box of diapers.

8:15 - Jammies are on. Teeth are brushed. Scriptures have been read and prayers have been said. I am nursing E. T is on B's bed with B and G getting ready to read a story. G decided to play a game of push B off the bed so he can land on the bean bag. 2 problems: B is not ready and does not know he is playing. The bean bag is not as close to the bed as it should be if one is going to fall from the bed onto it. B goes off the bed and lands on the top of his head. Now B is screaming because he is hurt/scared and G is screaming b/c B is crying and she knows she is in trouble.

8:30 - B comes in our room and smashed his fingers in the door. More crying. Now I have to finish my work.

9:30 - Done with work and working on the mountain of laundry on my bed. Kids are still awake. Will this day every end?

**E is still my angel baby**

10:30 - They are finally all sleeping.

On the plus side (and it really is a very big plus), last night was the first night in months that no children came to get in bed with us - E even slept until 7 this morning. G got up at 7:15 and B got up at 7:30. I think they will need to take naps today....

Today will be better; I am sure of it!

Tea Party

G's friend, S, turned 4 at the beginning of April and she had a Tea Party! It was so much fun. The girls were asked to come in their best dress up. G chose to wear her Cinderella dress and shoes and her crown. All the little girls were so cute all dressed up. I think there were 13 little girls there.

They started out the party by making name cards for their place setting at the table. G asked me how to spell her name and found each letter. She also got to choose from a whole bunch of stickers to decorate her card. She was pretty proud of it. (The blue x's were added for blogging purposes.)

After they got finished making their name cards they each got a little bag of jewelry pieces to make their own necklaces, rings and bracelets. Here G is showing off the ring she made.

Look at all those cute cute princesses getting ready for tea. There was tea (lemonade), sugar (nerds), mini marshmallows, mini pumpkin muffins, strawberries, grapes and nuts.

Sometimes deciding what to eat first is the hardest part :)

Pouring her tea ever so carefully.

After tea, they listened to the story of the Princess and the Pea. They then got to see if they were a real princess by sitting on a pillow to see if they could feel the pea (marble).
They also got to decorate their own cupcake. It was a really great party. G had lots of fun!

Our other little princess also came dressed up but she slept most of the time :)

B one of the only princes at the party (there was one other little boy) decided he had enough of all the girls and just laid in the middle of the floor.

He also found this bench which, as it turns out, is a perfect place to read a book. What a funny kid!

more @ the zoo

I know I already posted a TON of pictures from the zoo,
but K got some really good shots that I had to share :)

Another view of E as a baby bird :)

See how sweet she was the entire day?

Playing peek-a-boo with friend A. His mouth is blue courtesy of a ring pop that he thoroughly enjoyed :)

Mom and B as prairie dogs.

Looking at monkeys. You can see more of his blue lips if you look close.

Watching the baboon.

Watching the orangutans.

Photo Shoot

We took the kids to JCPenny's for pictures on Saturday (4/10) for B's birthday and to get some of E. Here are some of the best shots we got. We were a little bummed because E wouldn't smile for the pictures. She smiles at us all the time now and we were hoping to get some pictures with her smiles but maybe next time :) We didn't do any of G by herself because she will get them done in June for her birthday.

My favorite of all 3. I know E's tongue is sticking out but that is how she looks most of the time anyway so we think it is cute :)

E also kept putting her hand in her mouth...

I love the close-ups :)

My favorite!!! She looks like a little doll!!

I cropped these last 3 before posting them. In the actual picture her name is visible on the blanket.

There is that tongue again :)

@ the Zoo

{ready to go!}

Doesn't he just look older? He was excited to wear his new sunglasses and hat that he got for Easter.

{meerkats}

{sea lions}

Friends J, A and S watching the show with G and B.

I love the excitement on his face!

{cheetahs}

{elephants}

Friends A and J along with G and B checking to see if any elephants were getting a bath.

love his hands :)

{giraffes}

{lunch}

E needed to eat so we all stopped for lunch.
We had carrots, cheese, crackers, bananas and cookies.

Kind of a funny picture of G. She wasn't feeling the greatest because of a cold. She rode most of the day in P family's stroller. Thank you K!

{just E}

E right after eating. She was such a trooper! Other than we we stopped for lunch, she spent the whole time in the stroller.

A sweet picture of E and Daddy. It might be my new favorite :)

{tigers}

{okapi}

{friends}

We are so happy that our kids are such good friends with the P family kids.
It is so fun to see them interact, help each other, share snacks without being asked and just be cute holding hands :)

Friend J was told by his mom that if he wanted to go ahead he had to have a buddy. He asked G to be his buddy. I am pretty sure his mom meant an older buddy and not a younger buddy, but it was still cute :)

{hyenas}

{bald eagle}

Our little baby bird. I tried to get all 3 in the nest for the picture but E was the only one who would cooperate :)

{prairie dogs}

There is a picture of B and Mom as a prairie dog; I just don't have it yet.

{the petting zoo
}

This wasn't our last stop at the zoo but where my camera ran out of battery. We also went to see the zebras and monkeys before going home. This might have been B's favorite part though :) He stayed long after the other 4 kids were done. He would go around to every goat and say "Hi, little goat. How are you doing?" It was really cute. He was very gentle with them and even spotted the "mama goat".

I love the smile on G's face in this one.
It is almost like she is having a conversation with the goat :)

This is B's "mama goat".

{tired feet}

These little feet walked a long way today! We were at the zoo from10:30 to 3:30, and I don't remember him riding in the stroller once. He just kept walking. He did ask to be picked up a couple of times to see the animals but that was it. Twice his little feet even walked away without telling anyone where they were going (Once he was found inside a roped off construction site throwing rocks out of the ropes, and the other time he was just around the corner looking for the next monkey.), but we found them pretty quickly ;) Happy Birthday B!
