just another birthday

ok not really just another birthday

but the one that starts with 3 and ends with 0.

Also, it wasn't "just another birthday" for the fact that it SNOWED. ALL. DAY.

not just reagular snow but sideways-blizzard-type snow. ALL. DAY.

I had big plans to go out to lunch and to a movie with T but with the snow and all we couldn't even find a place open in town to go pick something up to bring back to the house.

I did have a very relaxing day at the house though. We played cards after the kids went to bed. G snuck out just in time for some delicous cake (smart girl, that one). She also wanted to help me blow out the candles.

T and I went out to lunch the next day and then we all took the kids to see Tangeled. It was a great day ... even if it was a day late :)

A's blessing

Uncle C and Aunt K were kind enough to work around us being there and bless cousin A on a week night. She is beautiful, don't you think?

getting to know you

E was so cute with Aunt L's dog, Atticus. She was very interested in him and not afraid at all. She was very gentle and always excited when he was around. The other kids, not so much, thus no pictures :) They like him from a distance or when he was in his kennel but mostly they just riled him up being crazy and then were afraid of him when he wanted to play. It was a viscious cycle.

gingerbread house

We had a gingerbread house making contest of sorts. Uncle C and cousin C made one and Aunt L and Aunt Wese made one as well as our family. The kids had a great time picking out what candy to put where as well as eating about every 2 pieces as they went. I think overall it was a success.

grandpa time

B watching Toy Story 3 with Grandpa. He sat there through the entire movie adn that one is a long one. He does love his Grandpa :)

Christmas Morning

Checking out their loot.
Tools from Santa. Art easel from Santa.

G has been asking for a Tiana Frog since her birthday back in June when she got Prince Naveen.
presents, presents and more presents!

Chuck the Dumptruck from Grandma and Grandpa. He loved it!

E checking out her new book.
Wese gave G a Princess Tiana barbie. She loved it and it was a perfect match for her movie and Tiana Frog.

B showing off his new trucks from Grandma and Grandpa. He was way more excited about them than he shows in the picture. I think he was just concentrating too hard holding them up to look excited :)
G and her movie. The Princess and The Frog.
Toy Story 3! He was super excited!
B was pretty proud of his Rex (to go along with Toy Story 3)

Everytime E would open a present the wrapping, package, etc. would end up on her head. It was so funny!

E showing off her new baby to Dad.

B testing out his present from Wese.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was a busy, busy day for us and because of that there are lots and lots of pictures. Enjoy

meeting cousin A

This was our first time to meet Uncle C and Aunt K's new baby. She was only about 1.5 months old. It was also their first time to meet E.

Isn't she beautiful.

E could not keep her little fingers off. Cousin A was a good sport though and slept the whole time. She even smiled in her sleep a few times. E was all smiles the whole time.

E even discovered her fingers. So cute!

Smiley E.

E was very interested. Can you see it in her face?

Cousin C introducing himself to E. They were so cute.

more sledding

The kids had to go sledding again to show

cousin C all the fun that could be had.

Today they decided to go together.

LOVE the smiles :)

It is kind of hard to see but if you look close you can see a great expression on B's face. He loved sledding!

being brave and going together on the tummies.

Cousin C wasn't there the first day the kids went sledding and he was a little reluctant to go down the hill...

but his dad went with him and he enjoyed himself.

cousin time

The big kids had to have their stuffed animal. They were watching How to Train Your Dragon. E didn't last long watching the movie...

G and B showed cousin C the best spot in the house for watchign the trains.

making rolls

B and cousin C spyed Grandma making rolls for dinner and could not be left out of the action! It was so cute to see the 2 little boys help Grandma.

It wasn't long before G realized what was going on and had to join the fun.

dinner

As you can see dinner was delicious!

presents

The kids opened a present each. pajamas. G got Jesse and B got Buzz Lightyear.

you probably can't tell, but B was pretty excited once he figured out what it was :)

B got Buzz Lightyear wings from Nana and Papa for Christmas (We exchanged gifts before Christmas because of our trip.) B was super excited to wear them together.

Yes, this was the best picture I could get of all 3 in front of the tree. I think they are still pretty cute though :)

program

We had a little family program after everyone was ready for bed. Aunt Wese played and sang Jingle Bells and White Christmas on her guitar, G sang Jingle Bells and Grandpa sang O Holy Night. (I didn't get any pictures of Grandpa but his performance was amazing.)

I just like this picture because it focused on the tree. But I think I should also mention that every time Aunt Wese got her guitar out to practice the kids could not keep their hands off :) They loved watching her and "helping" her play.

Aunt Wese's performance. She did great.

G was planning to sing Do You Hear What I Hear, but she was a little nervous with everyone watching. She finally worked up the courage to sing Jingle Bells for everyone. The whole family in stockings. Grandma made them all and they are beautiful with everyone's name on them.
