Summer is here!!!

Today was T's last day at work for the summer!! G will be excited to have Daddy home. Most of the time she wakes up before he leaves so she gets to tell him bye, but on those mornings when she sleeps in (7:30 or so) she goes around the house looking/yelling for him and is sometimes very distraught (enter lots of crying and rolling around on the floor) when she can't find him. B and I will be very happy to have him home as well especially since I will be starting back to work next week. We are looking forward to lots of park visits, pool time and trips to the zoo this summer!!

Testing the water

We took G to a newly renovated park this afternoon that has a new water feature. She was a little unsure and would only touch the water. I am sure we will be visiting this park frequently this summer so maybe she will get a little more brave. She does love playing in our little pool in the backyard. One of her favorite things to do in get her sand bucket and "empty" the pool all over the yard.

I think she liked chasing the birds as much (if not more) than she liked the water. She would get so excited every time she saw one and run after in yelling "Ba" "Ba" which of course means Bird not to be confused with the similar "Baa" which means sheep.

She also heard an airplane while we were there and was quick to point it out to everyone.

There is a first time for everything...

This is our attempt to keep our family and friends updated on the events (however mundane they may be) of our life and to keep a sort of record for ourselves.
