We are members at the zoo and every year they do a members-only event called Zoobiliee. They close the zoo to everyone but members a little early and stay open a little late. We don't go every year but decided to check it out this year. It seemed to be a lot different than when we had gone previously. We took sandwiches and ate dinner there. They had little stations set up where the kids were supposed to get a stamp on their 'zoo passport'. They got an animal coloroing book when they showed their completed passport at the end of the night. The weather could not have been better and the kids had a blast.

There was a potato sack race. B was braver than G and decided to try it out. He gave a good effort but never really went anywhere. He was proud of himself for trying though :)

There was a zoo worker sitting on a bench holding this little hedgehog named Mrs. Prickles. She was so cute and the kids got to pet her.

There was a hula hoop contest. G was brave this time and gave it a try.

E was content in her stroller the entire time.
The animals were in rare form. They were all a little more active than during the heat of the day.

All except the sea lions who apparently had had a rough day and needed their rest.

One of the few times we have ever seen the lions awake much less moving around.

The giraffes seemed to be running laps. Isn't that baby cute?

B playing in the Children's Zoo.

E finally out of the stroller checking out the otters.
It was starting to get dark and apparently I can't keep things in focus when it gets dark. I probably should have just turned on the flash....
