boys will be boys

I am learning that even as babies boys are just different than girls. I don't think I like it. For starters, 75% of my day is spent following him around picking up after him. I don't think I would mind as much if he actually played with the books, toys or fridge magnets that he throws all over the floor, but he just pulls them out to pull them out and then moves on to the next thing.

And then there is the blood. That's right blood. In the past 2 weeks, B has bled 3 different times and even gotten a black eye. 1st he tried to crawl past the attic ladder and cut his head on bolt that was sticking out. (We found out that in fact he has had a tetanus shot.) 2nd he nose-dived off G's bed which is a mattress on the floor and busted his lip. 3rd he head-butted the gate that is at the bottom of the stairs and cut the corner of his eye and just under his eye causing the black eye. On top of all the accidents he has been having he has also been sick. He has a cold/runny nose for a week and then he got a stomach virus and was throwing up for 2 days. He still hasn't gotten his appetite back completely but he is definitely better.

So if you ever wonder why it takes seems to take me forever to update this blog it is because I am following B around picking up his messes :) This is the best picture I would get of his black eye. It looks worse in person :) Also, you can tell in this picture that he has been sick. Poor baby!
