We had a potluck dinner/entertainment/Santa visit for our ward dinner. It was a lot of fun.
The kids got these nativity scene stickers from Santa (pictures at the bottom of the post). They were really cute and kept the kids entertained while we were waiting to eat.
B chowed down on the deserts. Somehow Dad let him have 3 different treats. (I was not aware.) At one point, right before the primary kids started singing, B started crying and complaining about this tummy hurting. We thought we were going to have to leave before it was over. I took him out in the hall and asked him if he thought he was going to throw up or if he needed to go to the bathroom. He said no just that his tummy hurt. Finally he said, "Its because I ate that cupcake, cookie and cake." Yep, that would probably do it. He stopped crying and said he was okay to go back in. He still wasn't feeling the best but managed to get through it. On the way home he announced he was all better. Poor kid.
E was kind of all over the place that night. She did want to sit still while we were eating, after she was done. We just let her crawl around near our table which was next to a door to the hallway. At one point, there were about six 8 to 10-year-old boys all in a circle around her. They were being so cute with her, talking softly to her and playing with her etc. When we decided she had had enough (they were kinda closing in) and I went and picked her up those boys were so sad. They didn't want her to leave. Too bad I didn't get a picture :(After we ate, the primary kids sang some Christmas songs for everyone. I can't remember every song they sang, but they did sing all the versus to "Do You Hear What I Hear". G knew almost all of the words and that is a long song. We were so impressed. She did so great.

We actually saw Santa before we ate but I thought I would save the pictures until the end. I just have to say the background was decorated fabulously - pictures were taken in a class room at the church. Santa did a great job with the kids. Grace was a little bit of a chicken and made B go first. He was a little nervous but as soon as Santa asked him how old he was he warmed right up.

She did okay once she actually got on his lap but forgot what she wanted. She had to think for a while and ended up asking for an art easel and princess shoes.
E's poor little sad face - the things we do to our kids for pictures. I am not sure what G's face is doing and B got a little distracted apparently :)
