the intruder

It was time to go get G from school so I went downstairs to get everyone's coats on and M in her car seat. I moved the car seat to get E's coat and there it was.  At first I thought it was a toy.  Then I thought it was weird that I had never seen that toy before.  My next thought was it looked too real for Grandma to let stay in her house.  Then it moved.  I quickly threw E's coat on top of it and started looking around for something to catch it in.  I found a large tube of shrink wrap we had used to wrap some mattresses in.  I slowly lifted the coat.  It moved but not too fast and I trapped it with the tube of shrink wrap.  I had no idea what I was going to do next because I had to leave to get G and I didn't think i could just leave it fearing it would start wiggling and knock over the tube and escape.  SO I put a book on top and books all around.  And there it stayed until T got home and disposed of it.  This is actually the 2nd mouse I have trapped without a mouse trap in my life.  The first was in college.  That is a whole other story for another time. :)  It would be ok with me if I didn't have to do it again for a while though...
