HAPPY BIRTHDAY G!

Yesterday was G's 2nd birthday. We can hardly believe it!! She is growing up so fast!!

I am still very much an amateur at decorating cakes but I am pretty proud of how this one turned out.

G did so good blowing out her candles. She did it all by herself. She was very proud!

The slide or "weee" as it is better known from Bamma and Bampa was a big hit. We kept trying to get her to change into some shorts so she could slide better but she really wanted to keep wearing her dress.

Making pancakes for everyone.

Wow!! Look at all those presents!! She did so good taking the time to actually look at each one and asking for it to be taken out of the package before going on to the next one. She was also really cute telling everyone "tank woo".

Blessing Day

Yesterday was B's special day. Bamma, Bampa, Aunt L and Aunt S flew in from Utah this weekend for the blessing and Nana, Papa and Uncle M drove down from Gilmer to be here. It was such a wonderful weekend. B was so hansome in his little blessing outfit that Bamma made. He looked like he was ready for the prom :) He did so good during the blessing and at church yesterday. We are so very blessed to have such wonderful kids!

BIG Helper

G loves to be outside. The support bar on the lawn mower is just the perfect height for her to help.

2-month check-up

Actually it was more like a 10-week check up but who's counting?? B is growing up so fast. He weighs 13lbs 5oz and is 23.5 in long. That means he is in the 50th% for weight and 75th% for length. The Dr. commented on how much neck/head control he has. I am sure he will be passing G up any day now :)

"I NEED A SPOON!!"

As I am putting away the groceries I hear "I need a spoon" about 3 times really fast. I look over and this is what I see.

Gilmer

We went to Gilmer for a week and a half. The trip started off with the usual vomiting from G. Hopefully she will out grow this car sickness business soon. However, on a potty training note, G was DRY the whole car ride :) We started off the weekend with Nana and Papa getting out their little pool for G and cousin B. (here is where I would like to make some kind of hot air comment about Papa but since he will probably be mad enough that his picture is on here I will refrain...)

G and cousin B were really cute together all weekend. I am sure by next summer they will be partners in crime. G would take him by the hand and say "This way" and he would just follow

There were a few "crash and burns" on the slide but both kids had a really good time in the water.

Napping wtih Daddy on Father's Day.

Uncle M had a new shadow the whole time we were there. G followed him around EVERYWHERE!! She even started saying his name. In other M related news, the mission papers have been turned in!! We will all be waiting anxiously to see where he is going.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!! We celebrated T's birthday with mexican food and chocolate cake - yummy!! G kept saying "Happy Daddy" over and over all day.... she was cute :)

Zoobilee

Tonight we went to ZOOBILEE. It is a members only event at the Zoo. There are lots of fun things: Music, jugglers, magicians, a mad science show etc. When we first got there G got a passport to take to specific places around the zoo to get stamped and then when we left she got a goodie bag for getting all her stamps. I am sure she will appreciate more when she is a little older but it was fun to find the animals for the passport.

I know the picture is a little out of focus but I had to include it because for some reason the zebra was G's favorite today. On the way to the zoo she kept saying she wanted to see the zebra, and on the way home when we asked her what her favorite animal was she said zebra. We don't always take the time to see the zebras when we go so I am not sure why she liked them so much today :)

"Jonathan the Great"
When we got to the lions they were just ending a feeding session and keeper chat. They were feeding him through a big hole in the fence. I wish we could have been closer and there when it started. It looked really neat. This is the first time I have actually seen Nathan awake. It is usually the middle of the day and really hot when we are there, so he is usually sleeping.

G got this frog mask in her goodie bag. After she put it on she kept saying "Hi".

It is hard to believe that this was B's 3rd trip to the Zoo. He slept through his first 2 visits. We were happy to see some smiles. It is hard to believe that he is already 2 months old.

The petting zoo is one of G's favorite spots. When we told her the goats were next she kept saying "nice goats...nice goats".
