Easter Weekend

We went up to Gilmer Easter Weekend. Fun was had by all!

B and Cousin B "working on" the truck.

G and Cousin B on the swings. It was kind of an overcast day but a good day at the park.

She was so proud of herself.

B is getting too big. He was so happy to be at the park. He just kept running from one thing to the next.

What a good dad! B was terrified. He just wanted off, but we convinced him to swing a for a minute and he was okay but ready to be done when it stopped.

New puppies!! They were both very excited to get to hold them.

He was so proud he could hold the puppy by himself.

Happy Birthday to B! His birthday isn't until the 12th but we celebrated early with Nana and Papa. He was very impressed with the size of the cookie :)

A little shy and embarrassed while we were singing to him. What a cutie!

He wasn't shy when it was time to eat it!

Duplos from Nana and Papa! He loves to build airplanes and trucks and "vroom" them around.

Easter egg dying. G was a little concerned when we said we were going to dye eggs. She thought we were going to kill them :) Crazy girl!

Egg dying is so magical!

So careful!

So patient!

Oh, the concentration! G was most excited about the pink and yellow ones.

She was so happy to find the sparkly one.

Yep, we hunt eggs in our jammies.

E in all her egg-hunting glory!

I love how it looks like he is trying to balance his basket :)

B would get so excited that he found one that he would just throw it in his basket. We had to go ahead and eat a few of his as soon as we got in the house because they were so cracked :)

There were a total of 52 eggs. G got 21 and B got 25. Flop the dog got 1 and 3 were never found. That Easter bunny did a really good job ;)

Checking out his candy. If there is one thing this kid loves, it is candy.

Can you tell he was in trouble? Look at that face?!? He certainly knows when to turn on the charm!! Yes, he was hiding in a corner in the kitchen sneaking candy.

Such a great weekend! The kids were exhausted every night. (Of course that doesn't mean they went straight to bed, but they always fell asleep.....eventually ;) )

Sweet Smiles

E woke up so smiley this morning so I couldn't resist taking some pictures ;)

Why B will fail Kindergarten

He will NEVER be allowed to use crayons again!

I know it is hard to see in this picture but there is orange crayon all over the wall in the hallway.

G's Comic Relief for the week:

The other night we were having cookies after dinner. G got hers and said,

2 months and 1st piggy

E is 2 months old today! She had her 8-week check up last Friday. While the doctor was listening with his stethoscope. E grabbed onto his finger. He looked down at her hand and kind of smiled. He kept listening and then just kind of waited for her to let go before he moved on to the next thing. It was really sweet. I wish I had a picture.

Weight: 11 pounds 4 ounces (68%)
Height: 21.5 inches (23%)
Head: 40.5 cm (90%)

In honor of E being 2 months old I decided to put her hair in a little piggy. (okay, I didn't really think about it being her 2-month day until after it was in but it is a good story right?) She was very patient with me and we got it in on the first try :)

Cute sisters and matching bows!

All 3. B's smile-for-the-camera face still needs a little work but he is getting there :)

I love how B's eyes are closed!

More from Spring Break

Soon-to-be Aunt C was baptized on Saturday March 13th, and we were so happy we could be there.

All of us (minus Uncle M in Mexico) after the baptism. It isn't the greatest picture but we were working with 5 kids and a camera timer so it was the best we could do.

Nana and Papa with the kids.

B found a corner all the way across the gym from where everyone else was to eat his ice cream. I guess he just needed a little privacy :)

Reading stories with Nana. I am not sure why B doesn't have any clothes on but he sure doesn't seem to mind :)

Reading with Dad.

Building a "sand castle" while baby E was meeting Great Great Aunt E.

One tired boy!

I love the picture!! B is so sweet with E!
