Just Reading

I noticed earlier this morning that B was being extra quiet. Usually this means trouble. I went to investigate. This is what I found. He was just reading. In the laundry basket. With an assortment of toys next to him. What a cute boy!

Trick or Treat

The first house. B was really good the whole night about saying "Trick or Treat" and "Thank you. Welcome" G was a little shy but towards the end got a little better. We ended up going to a few friends houses and then just their streets. We did 3 streets total and the kids definitely got enough candy :)

Walking with Grandma and Grandpa. We were really happy to have them with us for a few days.
Doesn't B just look so big? He was so cute. About halfway down the 2nd street he set his bucket on the ground and sat down beside it. I guess he just needed a little break.

Towards the end we had to carry their buckets and eventually them.

Thanks to P family for getting some face shots of the kids getting their candy.

Halloween Treats

Grandma brought with her this super cute idea for some Halloween cupcakes. They are just regular cupcakes with white chocolate/semisweet chocolate chips melted, piped into a design and refrigerated until hardened. They were really easy and could become a Halloween tradition at our house.

Pumpkin Carving

Grandma and Grandpa decided to come for a visit during Halloween. As soon as they got to our house we decided to put them to work carving pumpkins. The kids were a little nervous about the insides but had a good time.

B loved the tops. He kept putting the on and taking them off.

Checking out the insides.

Helping?

G helping Grandpa carve the face.

Showing off their hard work.

Lights out!

LEGOS

One Sat. in October we went to Toys R Us and the kids got to build a car and then race it. They got to bring their car home. We weren't sure if G was really old enough for Legos yet but we were wrong. She had the best time picking out just the right pieces. Once we got home we got out Dad's Legos from when he was little and both kids have had a great time building things. G likes to use just the red pieces most of the time but she is starting to branch out a little and even making multicolored things now.

These pictures are of her modifying her car from Toys R Us. She said, "Dad, come look at my car! It even has laser beams!" I have no idea where she came up with laser beams but she was pretty proud of her creation! B mostly just likes to build "towers" and then knock them down.
